Is the Aqualung i330r air integrated? ›

Now both of these are extremely capable computers that we highly rate but the i330r cost nearly half as much as their retail prices, no it doesn't have air integration or a digital compass but aqualung had to leave some features out to keep it so keenly priced and in my opinion i think the benefits of that vivid very ...

Dive computers can cost anywhere from $150 to $1,500+ USD. Recreational divers probably don't need to spend more than $500 USD, if that. You can get some really great models for less, and you'll only need to pay more if you want a technical computer that features air integration.

Many divers can use the same computer for years and years, but there may come a time when the unit can no longer be serviced by a qualified technician. Don't continue to use a computer or any other piece of equipment that cannot be properly maintained.

Don't turn your computer off between dives.

Most won't let you, but if you take out the battery or shut the computer down, it loses its memory of your previous dives and your residual nitrogen. You'll have to allow all residual nitrogen to leave your body before resuming use of the computer.

It is also equipped with a built-in digital compass, audible and visual alarms, and an automatic safety stop countdown, providing essential information and safety features for divers. The submersible pressure gauge, displayed in bars, allows divers to monitor their remaining air pressure during the dive.

Service every one or two years — Most manufacturers recommend taking your dive computer to the dive shop for calibration, service and battery replacement every one to two years. This is a great way to avoid problems before they end your dive trip.

We should note since your dive computer is a required piece of equipment (no different than your mask and fins), it's important to understand if it fails; the dive is over, period. No questions asked. Calmly signal to your buddy or team, “end the dive” by giving the “thumbs up” hand signal.

In technical diving, the 1/3 Rule ensures divers have enough gas for the descent, return, and emergencies. Air integrated (AI) dive computers utilize a wireless transmitter on the scuba regulator to send gas supply information from the cylinder to the diver's computer. The dive computer displays cylinder gas pressure on its screen.
