How to create a FEMA student ID? ›

Step 1: To register, go to https://cdp.dhs.gov/femasid Step 2: Click on the “Need a FEMA SID” box on the right side of the screen. Step 3: Follow the instructions and provide the necessary information to create your account. Step 4: You will receive an email with your SID number.

To access your student account, your login.gov personal information, and one verified login.gov email address must match your FEMA SID profile. Sign in to your current login.gov account, or create one now.

If you need certificates or registration support or transcript information please visit the training provider's site. You can find various training provider's contact information on the Training Providers page. CDP certificates may be obtained by logging on the CDP Student Portal using your FEMA SID and password.

The FEMA certificates have no expiration date so once the employee completes their training(s), they will not have to repeat the certification.

If you already have a FEMA SID but forgot it, go to the FEMA Student Identification System and select the option: "Forgot Your FEMA SID". You will be asked to provide certain information. Your FEMA SID will be emailed to you along with a separate message that will ask you to reset your password.

Proof of identity: Accepted documents include your passport, Social Security card, federal or state I.D., military I.D., or a payroll stub that shows all or part of your Social Security number. For a complete list of documents that can prove identity, visit Options to Verify Your Identity with FEMA | FEMA.gov.

Once your online account is created, FEMA will email you a temporary 4-digit PIN. It may take up to 24 hours to receive your PIN. Check your spam and junk folders if you do not see the email in your inbox.

Survivors can also check the status of their applications online at DisasterAssistance.gov, which is the fastest way to get information to and from FEMA. Each application is processed and evaluated, so be sure to read your letter very carefully and respond if necessary.

How long will it take to get FEMA/State disaster help? If you are eligible for help, you should receive a U.S. Treasury/State check or notification of a deposit to your bank account within about ten days of the inspector's visit. Other types of assistance may be provided later, based on specific eligibility and need.

How do I know if I passed my FEMA test? ›

You should receive an email containing your results. It took between 1 minute and 24 hours for me sometimes to get my results. They will not give you a percentage score, only a pass/fail mark. Hope this helps!

If you actually read through the material you can answer the questions easily. If you get stuck, its an "open book" exam, so you can go back to reference the material to refresh your memory. I've taken 10 of these so far and the longest ones takes maybe 2-3 hours to get through, most take far less.

All states and the FBI use a form of biometric identification based on fingerprint images to uniquely identify a person. This ID may be referred to as the State Identification Number (SID) or FBI Number.
